African Power Projects is investigating a number of innovative energy storage technologies which can provide a range of grid-support services as well as facilitating the addition of significant MWs of new intermittent renewable energy projects.

The 20MW+ Kaluba biothermal project will use readily available agricultural waste to generate both electricity and process heat. The project will support a large number of small-scale and emergent farmers with a novel, waste-based income stream.
